Issue: No config item was found for category

description

I am simply trying to retrieve a value from the Config store and randomly a config item can not be found .
The environment is a production server with MOSS 2007. It was working fine for a few months.
Please help or provide any insights.

I am having similar issues. The code always bombs at line 137 on ConfigStore.cs on function SPSecurity.RunWithElevatedPrivileges(delegate() . Is this a better possible solution than calling that function? http://solutionizing.net/2009/01/06/elegant-spsite-elevation/
